We use AutoCAD Map and a engineering program called Synergee, from Advantica.
Would Numap be able to work with these 2 systems?
Would I be able to create the system in AcadMap using Numap then have it imported into Synergee?
Also is there a working demo of you software. I've watched the dvd and it looks interesting.
Thanks |

Hi dbush,
Getting information from NuMap to engineering is definately doable. In fact, NuMap includes a MultiSpeak interface to engineering. However, at this time, Milsoft's WindMil package is the only engineering package supporting MultiSpeak. As far as I know, Synergee does not.
I don't know if Synergee is planning to support MultiSpeak any time in the near future. If they are, we can work with them to make sure data gets passed smoothly from our system to theirs. And even if they don't support MultiSpeak, there may be other ways to get NuMap data into Synergee.
We do not have a working demo of NuMap. However, we might have a client close to your location that you can visit, or it might be possible for us to visit you and show you the software ourselves.
The person you really need to talk to is John Yetter, our CEO. If you'd like, you can contact him at johnyetter@spatialnet.net or (314) 909-0537. He can talk to you more about Synergee and about getting a demo of the software.
Thanks so much for showing interest in NuMap. It was very nice to hear from you.

Hi,
Thank you for your post and your interest in NuMap.
As Linda mentioned, NuMap supports a MultiSpeak interface to WindMil. As such, all of the information is exported to XML.
As I recall, Synergee has its own XML format. Assuming that a mapping can be created between these two formats, an XSL transform would allow interface to Synergee.
If no such mapping were possible, then a custom program could still be written to export information directly from NuMap to Synergee.
If you would like to see a live demo, I would be happy to arrange one over WebEx, or to visit your site. Whenever possible, it is nice to visit client sites, since this allows me to see their systems first hand.
Thank You,

Linda and John,
Thank you for your replies. I will get together with my supervisors and see how they want to proceed.
Thanks again,
